Account Manager – SaaS

Location: Toronto (Downtown)

Our client is looking for an Account Manager to join their rapidly growing team in their downtown Toronto office. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, as an Account Manager for existing business, you will work closely with the customer success team and and the team of subject matter experts to renew contracts with existing customers, and to grow contract values by expanding usage and upselling new products and solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive customer facing experience, will enjoy upselling, have strong initiative, be achievement-oriented, and will thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, and dynamic environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Exceeding revenue objectives ensuring a high level of customer retention and ensuring a high level of customer engagement and hunting for new business within your book of business.
  • Being familiar with each clients’ software usage and other client health indicators
  • Ongoing value-add communication with clients
  • Preparation and delivery of business proposals/quotes
  • Delivery of sales presentations
  • Negotiation of contracts for renewals and new business
  • Accurately forecast both recurring & new sales revenue using CRM
  • Keep informed of product line, competition and industry trends that may impact client business activities
  • Attend Industry specific tradeshows and conferences to support marketing programs
  • Actively build product knowledge to ensure a high level of literacy on the clients solutions

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous software sales, account management, customer success or relevant experience in the technology industry
  • Successful track record of sales or account management in a primarily inside sales driven role
  • Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals
  • Knowledge of SaaS business model and software sales cycle
  • Experience with CRM software and forecasting tools
  • Strong communication skills with consultative professional business acumen
  • Strong planning, negotiation and forecasting skills
  • Fluent English (other languages considered an asset)
